Education Coordinator
Geri began a career in the transportation industry after her five children were in school. Geri's interest in quilting started while admiring and watching her grandmothers share their love of fabric and sewing. In 1988, her creative interest turned from sewing to quilting. She brought her creative knowledge to Country Traditions in 2013 as Education Coordinator. Geri now shares her love for quilting by teaching others the techniques she has learned over the years. She is a guild member and has served on various boards, including former president of Cottonwood Quilters. She has five grown children and sixteen grandchildren.

Scott obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Midland Lutheran College in 2007. Soon after, he became the Creative Center Coordinator for Country Traditions. Scott's love of quilting started with his grandmother. He and his grandmother spent many hours at the sewing machine piecing together fabric. Scott now teaches all the Pfaff and Brother owner classes, many of the machine technique classes, and quilting technique classes. Scott is a very active quilt designer, creating many patterns, including our shop Block of the Month. Scott lives in Fremont by himself, not even a goldfish. He is active in the Fremont Community and his Church.

Leslie earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family & Consumer Science Education and Human Development. She now uses her teaching skills to share her passion for creativity in the art of Quilting. Her love for quilting extends from Basic Quilting classes for the beginner to extensive technique quilting classes for the more advanced. After years of quilting for others, Leslie now teaches many long arm technique classes, passing on her "lessons learned" and "passion" for machine quilting.

Guest Teachers

In Memory of Valerie Witte Guest Teacher
Valerie was associated with Country Traditions beginning in 2003. Prior to working at Country Traditions she worked as an elementary school teacher in the Yutan School District. Sewing was always a part of Valerie's life, as long as she could remember. She couldn't count the number of wedding dresses and sewing projects she had completed through the years. Along with her sewing skills, Valerie also designed patterns for Country Traditions. Valerie loved to share her knowledge and skills with others. She loved to share her passion for sewing and quilting with her supportive husband and family, including her granddaughter.
