Country Traditions: A Little History
Country Traditions is proudly nestled in Fremont, Nebraska's Historic Downtown District. After teaching Middle School for 10 years Leslie Main, owner, decided that is was time for a change and in 1998, she and her husband Kevin established Country Traditions. From its small start-up County Traditions has grown and expanded welcoming visitors from across the country. When you step inside our turn-of-the-century building you will find over 5,000 bolts of fabric, numerous books/patterns, notions and home décor items spread throughout 12,000 square foot of building. Our store boosts 14 foot ceilings, original wood flooring, exposed ceiling beams and antique light fixtures suspended from a partial tin ceiling. In 2005 Country Traditions was selected as one of the Top 10 Quilt Shops in the Spring 2005 issue of Quilt Sampler. Then in 2007 were selected as one of the Best of the Best by Better Homes and Gardens' American Patchwork and Quilting Magaizne. |
Fabric-Patterns & Books-Notions-Needful Things
County Traditions carries over 5,000 bolts of the latest and hottest fabrics from Andover, Blank, Moda, P&B, Hoffman, Timeless Treasures, Quilting Treasures, Kona, Island Batiks, & Princess Maria. Like many quilters we enjoy a variety of styles from Country & Primitive to Bright & Bold. Throughout the shop you will find a large variety of inspiring samples that show off a variety of new fabrics, books/patterns, and techniques. Pull up a chair and spend some time looking through our large selection of books and patterns or stop by one of our many demo boards and try out a new technique. Every Quilting notion is tested by our staff for effectiveness and usefulness. Country Traditions Staff attends a weekly product training session to ensure their abilities to help guests find the right notion for their current project. If you see a product you would like to learn more about just ask one of our many staff members and they would be more than happy to give you a demo. |
Gifts and Home Décor
For those of you who rather leave the quilting to others or the individual who likes already made gifts, Country Traditions offers a full line of Country inspired gifts, crafts, and home décor items, along with a variety of sewing related ornaments and decorations that are always in stock Our large selection of Seasonal Decorations is always changing and is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. If you would like to treat your guests with a gourmet appetizer be sure to see our selection of Wind & Willow cheese and dessert mixes. For the collectors, we are also an official Willraye Collectors Center Store and carry Jim Shore's Heart Creek Collection from Enesco. |
Handi-Quilter & Pfaff Machines
Stop by our Creative Center and try out our wonderful Handi-Quilter 16 or test drive one of our fabulous Pfaff Sewing machines. In 2004 we become an authorized Hand-Quilter Dealer representing the Midwest quilters with all their long arm needs, carrying a large selection of long arm accessories and pantographs. IF you are new to long arm quilting and want to learn new techniques sign up for one of our many long arm technique classes we offer. In 2007 with our move to a larger location we became a Supreme Pfaff Dealer, carrying the full line of Pfaff Sergers, Sewing machines, and Embroidery Machines. Our dedicated Creative Center Team attends a weekly training session to help you with your Pfaff and Handi-Quilter Questions. If you have questions about how your Pfaff machine works or what all it can do, sign up for our Pfaff owners classes that are scheduled throughout the year either on Thursday nights or All Day on Saturdays. |
