Join Team "Quilters for a Cause" Under the Stars on Friday, June 3, 2011 as we walk in the Dodge County Relay For Life Walk!

We all know someone who has heard the words, "You have Cancer."  Friday night the Country Traditions Staff, Family and Friends will walk together in the Relay for Life, to show are support for all our friends and family that have fought the battle, and in hope that soon, a cure can be found.

There is still time to help support the cause.  Come into the shop and purchase a one of a kind, patched with love,"Patchwork Angel Pin" or Buy a Raffle Ticket for a chance to win our "Friendship Triangle Quilt".  We will be drawing the winning ticket, Friday night during the relay.

Quilts of Valor: Under Your Wing Sewing Workshop!

Some Gave Their All for Honor & Comfort!


When Country Traditions sent the Rally Cry out,  Quilters and Friends answered the call to serve!  For three days (August 11,12,13, 2011) the Country Traditions classroom studio was buzzing with patriotic activity, laughter, and fun! 

Accomplished quilt makers, or "Coaches" took "Rookies"  under their wings to make quilts for the Quilts of Valor program.  Some teams sewed together quilt tops on their PFAFF Sewing machines and some put the finishing quilting touches on the quilts in the Handi Quilter Long Arm Studio.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation (QOVF) has made quilts for American armed service members touched by war since 2003. So far, presenting some 34,000 quilts to wounded warriors including combat veterans from current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as from World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.  Recipients often comment that nothing has helped their healing process more than the comfort of the quilt they received.
